~ Fingask Castle – Leila & Scott – Married ~

This was always going to be a fairly epic wedding, up in Scotland, and certainly wasn’t disappointed! There was Leila, looking effortlessly stuffing, Scott looking Dashing in a kilt, the two best men – in kilts, the wee boys, in kilts, Leilas’ girls all in beautiful dresses, more men in kilts, the gorgeous Fingask Castle, the Humanist ceremony (with scottish whiskey) the beautiful setting, the random phone box amongst the Giant Redwoods, the bagpiper – in a kilt, the pianist, the quirky singer, the Ska band…. oh and Alan… in a kilt!

I love all my weddings bar non, but there was definitely  something special about this one! Thank you Scott and Leila for inviting me up to share your day, thank you to your friends and family for making me very very welcome, and a special thank you to Susan at The Bankfoot Inn for being a superstar! *MWAH*!!!

~ Yorkshire Dales – Dent ~

Yet another holiday int he Wilks house and it doesn’t quite go according to plan! I broke my foot – long story short, I was trapped between a drystone wall and the car:(

Still – I got it plastered up and I tried not to let it spoil the holiday. We were in a gorgeous cottage in the side of Whernside, with spectacular views and beautiful sunsets. We were blessed with the weather too – and both dogs behaved themselves! We visited teh Ribblehead Viaduct, Ingelton (the 4 mile route round the waterfalls was a challenge on the broken foot!), Swaledale, Sedbugh (Lancaster Royal Infirmary!) It really was beautiful, and I’m looking forward to making plans to go back:)

These are a few of my favorite shots….

The cottage that we stayed in…

Beautiful wildlife in the garden….

Im not sure how many times that we played snakes and ladders – but it was a lot!!!

My lovely Three! Dotty the Whippet puppy, Luna my Weimaraner and William – The Boy

Can you spot the flying swallow?

Gorgeous views!

Money tree’s at Ingleton Waterfall train….

The view from the top – well worth the effort!

2 very bold sheep saying hello!

Putting on a brave face!!!

The Ribblehead viaduct – they used this int he filming of Harry Potter so we were on the look out for Dobbie – but he was a bit shy!

Ingleborough summit – Highest peak in The Dales

Can’t tell you how much I love this little monkey!

Who needs to go abroad to have a private pool to swim in!

Looking up to Gordale scar

The Common Sandpiper – we became nature twitchers while we were there – there was so much to see!

This was the Valley where the cottage was – its in the middle of the fell on the right hand side
